Dance music over? Kiss this!
Those bitches who declared that house music is over are eating crow as the genre continues to blossom and produce red hot new artists such as Danielle Bollinger, whose chart-climbing single “Kiss the Sky” (EsNtion Silver) has fast become a top request at radio stations across the country. With warm organs, rave keyboards and sexy laser sounds laid over powerful mid- to up-tempo club drums, the Mike Rizzo Global Club Mix showcases Miss Bollinger’s vocals - poppy and slightly filtered, but more natural than the likes of J. Lo and Kylie. (In other words, girl can sang: “I don’t know how I got here but I know I’m missing you/ And I know the day is coming when I’ll be back inside your arms.”) Boosted by spacey electro keys, pop guitar strums and non-threatening yet catchy rock drums, the Pop Rock Edit lives up to its name, but works a strong dance-club flavor. Pumping lovely deep house rhythms, snappy high hats, rich bass and softly stuttered vocals interweaved with clean ones, the dual-edged sophisticated electro-funk vibe of the Andrew Emil House Mix makes it perfect for a steamy dance floor and a laidback lounge.
