Danielle Bollinger In Tune
Danielle Bollinger might or might not be a name that you remember, but
be sure that she will soon be clicking your fingers to her music on the
radio. On March 26, 2006 I had an opportunity to sit down with this up
and coming dance music artist. This was my first real interview with an
artist so naturally I was a little nervous.
But Danielle is as Danielle says she is, a down to earth and
approachable woman. She was sitting poolside at the Remix Hotel in Miami
eating potato chips. She made no efforts to be someone she wasn't. She
is a beautiful woman with a sincere view of the world. She wants that to
come across in her music and explains it as dance music with a message.
Her album When Broken Hearts Love again will be released on April 4, 2006.
HERE IS A PORTION OF THE INTERVIEW:
Tell me something about yourself.
I am from a small town in Michigan, that's where I grew up and still
call home. Now I am a dance artist going everywhere and seeing the whole
entire country.
When does your album drop?
It drops on April 4th and I am very excited. Actually this visit to
Miami is the start of my promotional tour with stops in several cities
including Orlando, New Orleans, and New York City. Then I return home to
have a live performance with a band.
How would you describe your music?
It's dance music that tells a story. It's not only a beat but also the
lyrics tell a story that people can relate to. I can relate to them as
well which is why it's so easy to sing them.
Do you write your own songs?
I started writing my own songs. I wasn't able to write for this album.
However, I collaborated with the writers and they allowed me to make
changes to make it my own. I had to in order to make them my own and
sing them.
Has your life changed at all since all of this?
Yes a little bit. I am not at home as much anymore and I am getting a
lot more calls to do appearances and things like that. It is
overwhelming but definitely worth it. I have waited a long time to get here.
Are you married or involved with anyone?
No, I am single.
How do you expect your life to change after the album drops?
I am hoping I will get even busier and it will get chaotic and
everything else. I am waiting for that to happen because everyone keeps
telling me that it will happen. I hope and dream that it gets like that.
They say once you are there your head spins and it's like a roller
coaster but, I am waiting for that moment. Hoping for that moment.
Do people tell you that you sound a lot like Madonna? When I listened
to the demo I was sent I really thought that you did.
Yes, I get that a lot and that's a huge compliment. She has been a huge
inspiration for me so for people to say that it's a huge compliment.
We are all hoping to for Danielle to see her dreams come true. She is a
beautiful woman who wants to be true to herself. It is important that
people see her for who she is. She doesn't aspire to be a skinny person
like most artists are portrayed. But, wants to be herself. Check out the
gallery of photographs of Danielle and definitely give that album a chance.
Also there is photo gallery of that day...
